DC Summer Showcase Signing June 23!

On Wednesday, June 23, Jim Hanley's Universe and DC Comics presents the DC Summer Showcase!

June 23 is the first Wednesday of the Summer and we've got a cool event to kick off the season! Signing copies of their new releases will be some of the biggest names in comics, EXCLUSIVELY at JHU!

The creators joining us include our friends, illustrators Jamal Igle (Supergirl) and Stephane Roux (Zatanna); the writer of the hot new Vertigo series American Vampire, Scott Snyder; and legendary writer/editor Dennis O'Neil (Detective Comics)!

We're working on other names for this huge signing as we speak! Celebrate the beginning of Summer, JHU's 25th Anniversary, and DC's 75th Anniversary in style EXCLUSIVELY at our Manhattan Location on Wednesday, June 23 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm - all at Jim Hanley's Universe in New York City - Where Fans and Creators Meet!

Best known for his run on Supergirl with writer Sterling Gates, Jamal has been a professional jack of all trades for nearly 20 years, drawing every title from Action Comics to Zatanna for DC Comics. A former comics retailer, Editor for several small press companies including TV Comics, Airwave Comics and Destination Entertainment. Former Junior Art Director and Marketing rep in the Advertising and publishing arenas. Jamal's clients include Marvel Comics, image Comics, Dark Angel productions/ Simmons and Company, Devil's Due Studios, Crusade Entertainment, Walt Disney inc., Sony Television, CBS Television and Scholastic Entertainment. Jamal has also worked as a conceptional artist for the Toy and gaming industries as well as film and television. Jamal is married to his beautiful, and much smarter wife Karine.They're also the proud parents of an extremely cute child named Catherine and a Cat named Loustique
